I simply drew a person using pixel art.  He is a happy person.

First, I used the brush tool to create a rough shape.  

Then I added a new layer on top and drew an outline.

If you just look at the outline, it looks like this:

And I colored in the basic colors.

Next, simple shading was added.

Raise the outline layer to the top and I am done.
